Arsenal is increasingly confident in an agreement with the 18-year-old winger Ethan Nwaneri about a new contract.
Nwaneri, 18, enjoyed a nice breakout campaign for the Gunners last season, because he scored nine goals in 37 performances in all competitions.
However, there had been speculation that could leave the side of Mikel Arteta because his existing deal would expire next summer.
But Arsenal hopes that they can convince the player to stay by offering him a five-year contract or a four-year-old deal with an option for another year to record, according to BBC Sport.
Although the publication claimed that no concrete breakthrough had been made, Arteta and sports director Andrea Berta would remain positive that an agreement can be reached.
It is also said that it is a desire between both Arsenal and Nwaneri to find common ground.
If that is the case – and Nwaneri would eventually sign a new contract – he would be the newest Arsenal player who committed their long -term futures to the club.
They have already seen a fellow younger Myles Lewis-Skelly a new contract that will hold him in the club until 2030.
His colleague defender Gabriel has also put pen on paper about a new deal that will see him in N5 until 2029.
Elsewhere, Arsenal has been busy strengthening their ranks for the coming season.
Allegedly they come closer to the signing of Noni Madueke from London Rivals Chelsea – after they have already brought Kepa Arrizabalaga from the blues as an understudy for no 1 goalkeeper David Raya.
Arsenal is reportedly close to completing a deal for sporty CP Vooruit Viktor Gyokeres after months of speculation about whether they would sign a striker.
The athletics reported the breakthrough on Sunday afternoon in the news that will come as a huge boost for Gunners fans prior to the new season.
The publication noted that the switch from Gyokeres from Lisbon to Noord-London was extended by sporting President Frederico Varandas who visited more than € 70 million, including add-ons.
However, Arsenal now seems to have reached a rating that is the number of that number with which Gyokeres makes the way to move to the Emirates Stadium.
