Among the VIPs who are at hand for the trophy presentation were FIFA president Gianni Infantino and US President Donald Trump, who participated in awarding medals and the championship trophy. Trump kept on the field to celebrate with the Chelsea players while lifting the cup.

Trump calls the biggest football player ever

During a live interview with Dazn in the stadium, Trump was asked to call the greatest football player of all time – and he did not hesitate.

“I would probably go with a classic choice. It's like saying Babe Ruth,” Trump said. “But I would say Pelé was incredible.”

Trump recalled Pelé's time in the United States, in particular his Stint with the New York Cosmos of the now -called Nasl, where the Brazilian legend played from 1975 to his retirement in 1977.

“A player called Pelé”

“When I was younger, they brought in a player named Pelé to play for the Cosmos,” Trump recalled. “This place was packed – an earlier version of this stadium – and it was all because of Pelé. He was just fantastic.”

Trump's comments met a nostalgic agreement and emphasized the impact that Pelé had not only on global football, but also on the growth of sport in the US in the 1970s.
