Derrick Lewis has an argument for why he should fight UFC champion Tom Aspinall.
The most productive Knock outtoist in the history of UFC has included Ko #16 in the main event of UFC Nashville on Saturday evening when he was on his way opposite his most hated opponent: Tallison Teixeira.
Derrick Lewis quickly wiped the smile that Teixeira had on the weightings, which the Brazilian 35 seconds had in the opening round, which Teixeira handed over his first pro loss.
Ranked #9 in the heavyweight division and winner of three of his last four fights, the eternal competition is tipped for a third title against the new undisputed champion Tom Aspinall.

Alan Jouban says that Derrick Lewis bears 'more name value' than Ciryl Gane
Lewis may not have the best case for a title shot, because he is 0-2 in title fights and has a crooked losses for two top candidates for him in the #1-ranking Ciryl Gane and the #5-ranged Jilton Almeida.
Lewis, however, has a name behind him, like the Knock -Out King of the UFC.
UFC veteran and analyst Alan Jouban would go so far that Lewis is a greater name than Gane, who is a superstar in France.
“Lewis probably has a bigger name value than a Ciryl Gane, who is probably the man we think who would fight against Tom Aspinall next time,” Jouban said at the UFC after the show.
“But Ciryl Gane, the name value is not entirely …
“You know, he didn't really show up against Jones. Derrick Lewis delivers first round knockouts. He is a big name. He has a big following.
“After a performance like this, you stuck while the iron is hot,” Jouban said about a potential Aspinall vs. Lewis -Vecht.
Chris Weidman says that Tom Aspinall vs. Derrick Lewis Jon Jones Fight could promote
Former UFC Middleweight Champion Chris Weidman agreed with Jouban and the rest of the employment agency that Aspinall would then have to fight against Lewis.
Weidman has not lost all hope in a possible Vecht by Tom Aspinall vs. Jon Jones, which describes how this time it could go at the UFC event of the White House. Jones showed interest in the idea of President Donald Trump to host the card, with UFC's Dana White called Jones vs. Aspinall are 'Dream Main Event'.
Weidman explains why a fight between Aspinall and Lewis is logical in the meantime.
“That will be another year, actually to wait. Why don't you give Aspinall Derrick Lewis now?” Said Weidman.
“A fight that people would like to see, because Derrick Lewis has the potential to eliminate everyone.
“Tom Aspinall is so good on the feet, he is good everywhere. It is a tough fight, but people would like to see it.
“And then you could start with marketing for the next fight in July with Jon Jones,” meadman added.
