The situation has changed little since then and the clause will be paid, but Real Madrid has reached an agreement to pay the full amount in installments.
The arrival of Carreras means new questions about Fran Garcia and Ferland Mendy with both players linked to Exit.
Garcia completed all six Real Madrid games at the Club World Cup and impressed by patches, with Mendy excluded due to injury.
However, with its first team opportunities that are expected to be cut, the Spain International is looking for a new challenge.
