Cristhian Mosquera transfer news: Arsenal agree deal to sign Valencia defender

Arsenal has agreed a deal with Valencia worth an initial £ 13 million plus add-ons for defender Crithian Mosquera.

In principle, personal conditions for a deal of five years have also been agreed.

Mosquera is expected to fly to the United Kingdom in the next 24-48 hours for a medical and to complete the move.

Arsenal is hopeful, everything will be sorted on time for Mosquera to be part of the team flying to Asia for the club's tour on Saturday.

Mosquera has effectively confirmed his departure from Valencia. “This is my home and it will always be,” he told the Spanish radio station Radio Marca Valencia:

“I arrived here at the age of 12 and I leave like a man. I'm a bit sad.”
