Everton set to finalise deal for Travers with the Cherries signing Petrovic

Everton closes a deal for the Mark Travers of Bournemouth with the goalkeeper because of a medical one.

Bournemouth signs Chelsea keeper Djordje Petrovic for £ 25 million on Tuesday, which makes the road for the departure of 26-year-old Travers.

Everton is supposed to pay around £ 4 million plus bonuses for the Republic of Ireland International who arrive to offer competition to Jordan Pickford.

This summer Everton released Joao Virginia and Asmir Begovic and wanted to find an understudy for England number one Pickford who had proven a family tree in the top flight.

Everton has drawn striker Thierno Barry from Villarreal, but manager David Moyes still wants four to six signing sessions to strengthen his team for the new season.

In the meantime, Mike Penders is expected to be sent to Strasbourg from Chelsea as soon as Petrovic shares his departure to Bournemouth.
