Colin Stewart has joined the Liverpool coaching staff as the new development of the goalkeeper and the protagonist.
Official statement
After nine years, the Scot connects with the back room team of Arne Slot with Glasgow Rangers.
His first two years at Rangers were spent at the helm of the goalkeeper program of the Club Academy, before he was promoted to the role of the coach of the first team, in which he served over the past seven years.
Stewart, a former professional keeper himself, also worked for more than a decade with the Scottish FA as goalkeeper coach trainer and delivered relevant courses throughout the country.
Now he will support Xavi Valero-back in Liverpool as head of coaching the first team-daily in working with the senior stoppers of the Reds on and next to the field.
In addition, Stewart will supervise the loan strategies of keepers who are taking the step from youth level to senior experience, as a connection between the men's team, loan management team and U21S Group.
