Bellingham’s worrying return date as he ‘prepares to undergo shoulder surgery’

Jude Bellingham is said to miss months after he has completed a long -awaited shoulder operation this week.

In May it was confirmed that the Real Madrid star intended to undergo the procedure after the conclusion of the World Cup, which ended on Sunday with the 3-0 win of Chelsea over Paris Saint-Germain in the final.

Bellingham has been struggling with the persistent problem since 2023 and tying worn on his shoulder while playing for his club and England.

He delayed the operation through major competitions such as the Champions League and Euro 2024 and the Club World Cup, but his patience rose this summer.

“I'm tired of the brace,” said the 22-year-old last month. “At that moment I am ready to have a free shoulder and a free body.”

It is understood that Bellingham will have to wait until at least mid -October until he comes back, according to the Spanish outlet sport.

The expected rehabilitation time is about three months if everything goes well, possibly extends to four.

If the last reality unfolds, Bellingham can be released until November.

Bellingham will therefore miss the start of the 2025–26 season, including the first eight games of La Liga, first two Champions League competitions and possibly the first two international breaks in September and October.

After the operation, Bellingham will spend at least a month stabilized with his shoulder and protected his arm in a pendulum to help the healing process.
