Arsenal ‘make MAJOR breakthrough in Ethan Nwaneri contract talks’

Arsenal's teenage sensation Ethan Nwaneri is reportedly close to signing a new a long -term contract, in the midst of uncertainty around his future.

The 18-year-old enjoyed a nice breakout campaign for the Gunners last season, because he scored nine goals in 37 performances in all competitions.

However, it has been speculated that Nwaneri could leave the side of Mikel Arteta, with its existing deal that will expire next summer.

This is only fed by the approaching arrival of Noni Madueke from Chelsea, as well as the strong interest of Arsenal in Ebereechi Eze of Crystal Palace – both of whom can compete with a position.

Nevertheless, the graduate graduate Van Hale seems determined to fight for his place in Arsenal, with contract discussions that collect pace while Nwaneri indicates his dedication to his boys' club.

The priority of the English Under-21 International was always to stay in North London, according to athletics.

It is understanding that Nwaneri – who played for almost 1400 minutes in all competitions last season – has made no demands about his playing time during recent negotiations.

Mail Sport reported last week that Arsenal hopes that they can convince the player to stay by offering him a five-year contract or a four-year-old deal with an option for another year to record.

Arteta and sports director Andrea Berta would remain positive that an agreement can be reached, while the Nwaneri team also wants to find a common basis.

If that is the case – and Nwaneri would eventually sign a new contract – he would be the third Arsenal player who committed their future in the long term to the club this summer.

They have already seen a fellow younger Myles Lewis-Skelly a new contract that will hold him in the club until 2030.

Colleague defender Gabriel has also put pen on paper about a new deal with which he will stay in N5 until 2029.
