“Bonfim, tough hunter, hat off for the man. But when the crowd, the analysts, are all shocked by the decision, something is wrong. I have been in this game for a long time and I know what it feels like to win and to lose a fight. I don't lose!
“Everyone who saw the fight thought I won,” Thompson continued. “So what do we do about that? I think there should be more accountable with the [judges]And I know that is not the fault of the UFC, it is the fault of the committee. But there must be more transparency and more education when it comes to assessing these fights. “
The former coach of Thompson, Ray Longo, believes that his former student was robbed of the jury's scorecards because of his age. He claimed that if Thompson was 34 years old, he would have had the nod and the victory.
To make matters worse, Thompson suffered a horrible shining in one of the most horrible cuts in the middle in recent UFC history. Thompson revealed that he had to get three layers after UFC Nashville to repair his wounded shin.
