Bayern Munich makes Defintive movements for Liverpool -wing player Luis Diaz this summer, even if he remains the best target of Barcelona. Liverpool's willingness to close a deal seems limited.
The Colombian winger is the top priority for director of Football Deco, and more even after Barcelona had missed Nico Williams. Bayern was also interested in Williams, but the Blaugrana were the priority for the Basque wing player at the time, giving Barcelona an advantage – an advantage they don't have with Diaz.
Bayern has not yet closed a deal on personal conditions with Diaz, but they have the green light of the player to make a movement. He is willing to become a member of Bayern If they agree with a deal with Liverpool, and Bild (via Sport) explains that Diaz has held a video call with Bayern manager Vincent Kompany to convince him to join him in Bavaria, which went well and the motivation is for their two offers.
Offers that have been met so far with a brick Liverpudlian wall. Barcelona had rejected an approach for Diaz in June, and Bayern has now rejected two bids, the last of which was worth € 67.5 million. Bayern is planning to return with a fresh offer above € 70 million with variables on it.
In the meantime, Fabrizio Romano has stated that Diaz remains open for a move and Barcelona is also planning to try the signing again. A factor that could work to their advantage is a Liverpool -set for Alexander Isak from Newcastle United, which would add the competition in advance and would increase their desire to sell.
Nevertheless, Barcelona is investigating alternatives, forced or not. Marcus Rashford is the strongest linked to the club, but people like Christopher Nunku, Bryan Zaragoza and Antonio Nusa were all mentioned as alternatives last week.
