Manchester United wants to strengthen the Ruben Amorim team this summer and they can be on the market for a new full-back despite the addition of Patrick Dorgu earlier this year
Manchester United has had conversations with the camp of Brighton star Pervis Estupinan. The Red Devils seem to be interested in signing the full-back that also attracts an interest of AC Milan this summer.
Brighton has already signed the Cuyper from Club Brugge this summer and can be open to offers for Ecuador International Estupinan as a result. The defender, 27, has left on his contract on the south coast for two years.
Estupinan has told De Meeuwen that this summer he is open to a new challenge and Talksport Claim United held discussions with the player's camp. During the international service this summer, Estupinan told El Canal del Futbol that Brighton had given him the freedom to make a decision.
“The truth is that they have been to Brighton with a lot of learning for three years. But this will be a transfer market with a lot of exercise. The club knows that I would like to grow, that I would like to continue to grow.
“The club understood this. I spoke with the club. The club has given me this little freedom to make a decision. Now we will try to see better what is on the table and to see where we can go.”
Estupinan seems like a surprising target for United that has already been strengthened on the left. In January the club added Patrick Dorgu from Lecce and the summer saw the arrival of teen star Diego Leon.
The club tries to discharge Tyrell Malacia who has spent time on loan on PSV in the past term. There is also uncertainty about Luke Shaw's ability to maintain his fitness.
However, Paraguayan younger Leon has ambitions to break into Ruben Amorim's plans. Earlier this year he rubbed the idea of automatic from loan.
“I am really happy, I think every player dreams of this,” Leon told Paraguayan Press. “If you are a professional, you have to adjust quickly, it's a huge opportunity.
“Everyone thinks I will go on loan, but I don't have that mentality. I'm going to kill it in the preseason and I already play with them within one or two games.”
