Atletico Madrid will announce the departure of midfielder Rodrigo de Paul, who is ready to become a member of MLS Side Inter Miami.
Inter Miami, who has a former Barcelona stars Lionel Messi, Luis Suarez, Sergio Busquets and Jordi Alba, have been talking to the Paul for a few weeks. After an agreement on personal conditions was reached with the Argentina International, club-to-club conversations were started and they are now complete.
Sources from Argentina have claimed that a deal has been agreed between Atleti and Inter Miami, and this is now confirmed by Givemesport. But interesting is that the Paul will not permanently participate inch not immediately, with the two clubs that settle on a loan-to-buy structure.
The Paul will become a member of Inter Miami in the coming days and he will do this on loan. The MLS side will have the option to buy it during the winter transfer window for € 15 million, and given that they have already agreed a four-year deal with him, they are expected to activate this clause.
But there is a chance that Inter Miami will not activate the Paul's clause, and if they did not do this, side or another Club-Dan would be able to reach a pre-contract agreement with the 29-year-old who would allow him to participate for free of next summer. But this option will be excluded, whereby the report confirms that Athleti will extend its contract until 2027 before his exit is confirmed.
Atleti does not necessarily need the money at the moment, based on the fact that they have agreed to a first loan for the Paul. As such, it is still to be considered whether this decision influences their ability to make further signing sessions in the current summer transfer window.
