Former Chelsea manager Maurizio Sarri was taken to the hospital after getting sick during a Lazio training session on Wednesday.
Sarri, 66, was reportedly not well in the midst of scorching temperatures in Rome that exceeded 30 ° C in the Italian capital.
Lazio saw that a statement to give an update about his well -being later in the day.
The club said: 'Coach Sarri returns to Formello and, as planned, will lead the training session as usual at 6:00 PM.
“This morning he underwent a thorough fitness check, more extensive than the tests performed on the players in the training center.”
During his only season in Chelsea, the Italian made himself loved by the Premier League fans because of his bizarre tendency to chew cigarette butts on the touchline.
He did this to combat the rule that all English stadiums were strictly non-smoking locations, preventing him from puffing in the Dugout as he did elsewhere during his management career.
While some fan bases had fun in those antics, he eventually had a successful lonely campaign in West Londen.
In addition to supervising the blues to third place in the Premier League, he also won the Europa League before he left his role as Chelsea manager.
He followed that with a single-season saying at Juventus for a one-year sabbatical and a move to the Serie A Rivals Lazio of the Bianceri.
Sarri then continued with another 15-month Sabbatical in 2024 before he was reused as a Lazio manager as a Lazio manager last month.
In November last year, Sarri opened his exit from Stamford Bridge and admits that he regrets his decision.
“I could have stayed in Chelsea,” he told the sun. 'I wanted to come back to Italy because the situation in Chelsea was not easy. Abramovich was not allowed to go to England in that period.
“I only saw him in games abroad. We had a number of phone calls, but not very often.
'My reference point was only Marina (Granovskaia – Chelsea Director). There was no sports director, so the situation was not that clear. So I wanted to come back to Italy, but it was a mistake.
“It would have been better to stay there. I was a bit worried about the situation with Chelsea, the situation in the club. It was not clear. '
