Daniel Cormier supervises UFC 318 Face-Off
At the end of the event, Dana White supervised the hunter who stared as he usually does.
However, he allowed UFC Hall of Famer Daniel Cormier to take his place when Dustin Poirier and Max Holloway came on stage.
'DC' has a close relationship with both hunters, which can explain why he supervised the face-off.
The former UFC champion with double weight is also a resident of Louisiana, so it seems even more likely that White went aside to give Cormier the opportunity to share a special moment with the part-time New Orleans-Moderte.
Max Holloway encourages the crowd to Boo
The friendly gesture of White was in line with the general feeling of the UFC 318 press conference.
Poirier and Holloway share a deep respect for each other after they had rejected twice.
'Blessed' wanted to make sure that the crowd was pumped up for Poirier's last fight, so he encouraged them to Boo every time he got the chance to talk.
“Please come over more of the angry,” said Holloway.
“Give this man his respect.”
“That's what I like to hear.”
