UFC 318 will take place this Saturday in New Orleans, where the old voice of the promotion will not be present.
For the Vechtweek, it was announced that Joe Rogan would not be on comment before July 19, in which Paul Felder took his place in the broadcast.
Although it is not uncommon for him to miss PPV events because of his decision not to travel for international events, it is some time since he was not present at a numbered US event.
This means that Rogan will not call Dustin Poirier's last fight, because 'The Diamond' is walking for the last one for his home fans in Louisiana.
There has been speculation about whether Rogan could still be present for UFC 318 and chose to view the event as a fan, but a more likely reason for his absence has also been revealed.

Joe Rogan Holidays with his family on a super yacht in Europe during the UFC 318 Fight Week
Fans could not put their fingers why Joe Rogan would be absent at UFC 318 who had not missed an American PPV for several years, despite cutting back on his UFC schedule.
The stand-up comedian did not seem to have a contradictory schedule in terms of his work, away from being a commentator, but it seems that he had other plans that were in the way.
A few days ago, photos were taken of Rogan and his family enjoyed a holiday from the comfort of a luxury megayacht.
Traveling on board the OKTO, which is supplied with a stunning weekly rent of around $ 600,000, are seen Rogan and his family near different places in Europe, including Venice, Italy and the Brač island in Croatia.
Although this does not necessarily mean that he could not come in time to call the fighting on July 19, it seems that Rogan has exchanged 'The Big Easy' for a huge inflatable slide, a huge swimming pool and a cinema.
If this is the reason that he is not present on Saturday evening, it is likely that he has already committed himself to taking a vacation at the moment, instead of choosing not to be on the microphone for UFC 318.

Joe Rogan has not missed a domestic PPV event for more than three years
UFC 318 marks the first American PPV event that Joe Rogan has missed since UFC 271.
In February 2022, Israel Adesanya faced Robert Whittaker in a middleweight title Rematch that took place in the Toyota Center in Houston, Texas.
It was not explained why he missed this event, but since then Rogan has been a guarantee for major events that do not take place abroad.
