Manchester United manager Ruben Amorim assesses his players in the preseason and has decisions to make links, where he has four players who compete for a place
Manchester United is considering or graduated from the Academy Harry Amass after the arrival of Diego Leon in the summer transfer window. After coordinating in January in January, Leon has now become a member of the United Squad and tries to impress Ruben Amorim.
The 18-year-old left back signed for United in the transfer window of January, but due to his age was unable to reach his new club until the summer. Leon has already picked up 33 performances in Paraguay with Cerro Toreno and is certainly not lacking.
Speaking at Asuncion's Silvio Pettirossi International Airport, he outlined his plans. “I am really happy, I think every player dreams of this,” he told Paraguayan Press.
“If you are a professional, you have to adjust quickly, it is a huge opportunity. Everyone thinks I will go on loan, but I don't have that mentality. I am going to kill it in the preseason and within one or two games, I already play with them.”
After making it clear that he wants to compete for a place in the first team, Leon is now trying to catch the eye of Amorim in the preseason. He is opposed to Patrick Dorgu, Luke Shaw and collects in Amorim's team, a situation that seems to require some attention, especially if the rumors about interest in Brighton left back pervis Estupinian flourish.
Amass made four starts under Amorim at the end of last season and kept his, but he could be the one who leaves, where Leon needs time to acclimatize. The athletic notifications that Amass could be sent on loan, despite the fact that he promises last season, with United would like to delete paths from the academy to the first team.
The club is said to consult the representatives of their Academy players to determine which players can be moved. It is said that they are willing to take low costs, or none, with add-ons confirmed to erase the decks.
It means that Gore, Ethan Wheatley, Tyler Fredricson and Toby Collyer can leave Old Trafford this summer, whether on loan or a permanent move. Gore is sought by Rotherham on loan, while the others have to make decisions about their future, with regular playing time at United unlikely this coming season.
United starts their preseason against Leeds in Stockholm this weekend before the team travels to the US, where they participate in the Premier League Summer Series. They will be confronted on July 27 with West Ham in New Jersey, for competitions against Bournemouth and Everton in Chicago and Atlanta before they return to the UK.
Amorim's side game Fiorentina in Old Trafford in their last pre-season match on August 9, before they started their Premier League campaign against Arsenal on 17 August.
