Manchester United has agreed a deal with Brentford to sign Bryan Mbeumo.
After more than a month of negotiations between the clubs, the Red Devils finally agreed the conditions with the bees about a fee to sign the 25-year-old.
Man Utd saw two bids rejected for the Cameroon attacker, the second of which was worth more than £ 60 million.
But Brentford stuck with their requirements to get £ 65 million in a sale.
And their hardline posture has paid off with the clubs that finally reach an agreement.
Man UTD pays a guaranteed £ 65 million over four episodes, while another £ 6 million can be added along the line in bonuses.
Mbeumo gave the cold shoulder to Arsenal, Tottenham and Newcastle to give priority to a move to Old Trafford, even though those clubs can promise Champions League football.
The clubs will now move to complete the deal, with Man Utd because of the youth to the United States for their tour for the season next Tuesday.
He will be the second much needed addition to the goaline of Ruben Amorim, after Matheus Cunha, who arrived earlier in the summer for a fee of £ 62.5 million from Wolves.
Mbeumo was the top scorers in the Premier League last season, with 20 goals to his name.
That figure was only improved by Golden-Boot winner Mohamed Salah (29), Alexander Isak (23) and Erling Haaland (22), while Chris Wood also matched the figure.

Mbeumo is expected to be in line as the right-sided NO10 in Amorim's 3-4-3 setup, where Cunha is behind a NO9 on the other side.
It is still to be seen whether they will shift on Rasmus Hojlund to create space for a new frontman after the bad year of the DANE for the goal.
Elsewhere, Man Utd is said to be in conversation to sign the 23-year-old Antwerp goalkeeper Senne Lammens while watching a replacement for Ramppoeluper Onana on the calamity goalkeeper.
Brentford had drawn up an offer to buy Omari Hutchinson from Ipswich as their Mbeuo replacement, but missed a deadline of 17.00 on Tuesday to activate a release clause of £ 35 million.
Man Utd will play their first pre-season match against Leeds in Stockholm this weekend.
When the Premier League rolls around, they are opened by hosting Arsenal in Old Trafford.
A Mbeumo reunion with Brentford on its old pounding ground will take place at the end of September.
