Head coach Benni McCarthy of Kenya National Team is forced to harm his team again by reminded Masoud Juma for the upcoming Cecafa Four Nations Tournament that is being held in Tanzania.
Harambee stars left for Arusha on Saturday prior to the tournament, where they will refine their preparations for the African Nations Championship (Chan) from 2024 that will be organized from 2 August to 30 August by Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania.

Midfield will see a mix of youth and experience with Brian Musa, Alpha Onyango, Austin Odhiambo, Ben Stanley and Marvin Nabwire expected to offer creativity and control in the middle of the park.
The Cecafa Four-Nations Tournament, which will attract Tanzania, Kenya, Uganda and Guest side Senegal, runs from 21 to 27 July in Karatu, in the Arusha region in Tanzania. Congo Brazzaville stood in line earlier to worship the tournament, but they took out logistical problems and were replaced by Senegal.
According to the executive director of the Council of East and Central Africa Football Associations (Cecafa), John Gecheo, the tournament will be used as a warm-up for the Chan tournament.
“The primary goal of this competition is to offer our zonal teams a valuable platform to prepare sufficiently for the African Nations Championship (Chan) planned for August 2025,” said Gecheo in a recent interview.
McCarthy welcomed the tournament and said that it had come at the right time to gauge the preparedness of his players for the Chan. “It's a good tournament to gauge our readiness for Chan. We are confronted with formidable opponents and that will clearly show us what works and what should be resolved,” said McCarthy.
In the mini tournament, each team will play three games in a round Robin format, and the team with the most points will appear winners. Kenya opens their campaign against regional rivals Uganda Cranes on Monday, July 21 at 3 p.m., before being confronted with hosts Tanzania on Thursday 24 July at 4 p.m.
The stars will close their group matches with a collision against Senegal on Sunday 27 July at 1 p.m. All matches are played at Karatu Stadium in Arusha. Uganda and Sudan will open the procedure in the early kick-off on Thursday, July 24, before Harambee stars later come across a fiery test against Tanzania on the same day.
