Sean Strickland banned from fighting in UFC until new suspension is lifted for cage attack

Sean Strickland will not fight in the Octagon quickly.

The former UFC champion middleweight is one of the most controversial hunters on the UFC selection. Last month, Strickland did not get the headlines for what he said, but what he did with Tuff-Up 145.

Strickland and colleague UFC veteran Chris Curtis offered their teammate Miles Hunsinger in their fight against Luis Hernandez, in conversation with his undefeated opponent half fight.

Hernandez mocked Strickland and Curtis in his celebration after the fight after submitting Hunsinger. Strickland and Curtis would have nothing of it and then hurried Hernandez in the cage, where Strickland threw a blow.

Hernandez did not press charges and did not want a punishment for the hunters despite the attack. However, it seems that the Nevada committee has other plans.

Sean Strickland will receive a temporary suspension for hitting Luis Hernandez after his MMA fight

According to a report from MMA Fighting, Strickland has received a temporary suspension from the Nevada Athletic Commission for the invading of the cage and swinging in Hernandez on Tuff-N-SUff 145.

The suspension is expected to be extended during the next hearing of the committee on Wednesday.

Although the suspension is active, Strickland cannot fight in the UFC.

The full punishment of Strickland will be unveiled at a later time. No matter how controversial the American is, this is actually the first disciplinary suspension of Strickland from his UFC career.

Israel Adesanya Rematch can be off the table for Sean Strickland

Strickland was already in a strange place in his career before being suspended by the Nevada committee.

'Tarzan' has two losses for the current champion Drus Du Plessis, who conveniently defeated him in their Rematch on UFC 312 in February.

Removed in time, Strickland's former enemy has shown Israel Adesanya much interest in rematching Strickland. It was Strickland who ended the last title of Adesanya in the middleweight in 2023.

Between this suspension and Adesanya, however, suggests that he might continue with the matchup during the International Fight Week, Strickland vs. Adesanya may not be the fight to do in the middle weight.
