Atletico Madrid ‘join race for Chelsea defender’ with ‘many clubs’ circling – and Blues could DOUBLE their money AGAIN

Atletico Madrid reportedly put Chelsea defender Renato Veiga on their summer list.

Los Colchoneros is considering Veiga's merits against other options, but will have to be decisive if they want to brag him.

That is because 'many' clubs would have asked about the 21-year-old, which is appreciated according to £ 26 million and £ 30 million, according to Transferer Reporter Florian Plettenberg.

Veiga came to Chelsea from Basel last summer for £ 12 million, but has difficulty breaking into the first team. That means that they can more than double their money – something they almost did by selling Noni Madueke to Arsenal in a £ 52 million deal.

The Portuguese have only made seven Premier League performances, usually limited to conversions, and spent the second half of last season on loan in Juventus.

He was a regular starter for Juventus because they qualified for the Champions League and as such there is a lot of interest in him.

However, all lovers will have to figure out a competitive amount because he was contracted until 2031.

The person who signs him will certainly get a versatile player – Veiga can play at Centrum -Back, the left side of the defense or in midfield.

Wolves and Bournemouth were interested in him in January – and both could do it with a center – but Juventus won a scramble that also included Napoli and Stuttgart.

It has been the use of Chelsea in the Blueco era to sign and sell players with joyful surrender and this transfer window is no different.

They have already received more than £ 210 million on Joao Pedro, Jamie Gittens, Liam Delap, Estevao Willian, Dario Essugo, Mamadou Sarr and Kendry Paez.

A lush editions, but they have earned almost half that sum back by Madueke, Djordje Petrovic, Bashir Humphreys, Kepa Arrizabalaga, Marcus Bettinelli and Mathis Amougou, while they have released Lucas Bergstrom on a free.

You would be forgiven if you were not so familiar with some of those. The Chelsea website contains 33 first team players.

Amougou only came to Saint-Etienne in February with an eight-year-old deal, but he was already sold after two performances to Strasbourg, who are also owned by Blueco.

In the meantime, goalkeeper Bergstrom has never had an appearance at the club for three years, while graduated Academy Humphreys has signed for Burnley after loans with Paderborn, Swansea City and the Clarets.
