Liverpool has made an offer of € 80 million (£ 69 million) plus add-on for Eintracht Frankfurt striker Hugo Ekitike.
Sky Sports News understands that the total package in this offer could rise to € 90 million, which is around £ 78 million, but discussions remain about the structure of the add-ons.
It comes after 48 hours of negotiations between the two parties, after the interest of Liverpool was made public earlier this week.
Ekitike is open for a Premier League relocation and Liverpool would be his favorite destination after Newcastle had rejected an offer earlier this week.
Eintracht Frankfurt still has to respond to this last step. The conversations continue, but so far the negotiations between the two have been positive and progressive.
