Manchester City could lose their first-choice goalkeeper this summer, with Ederson already corresponding to personal conditions with Galatasaray prior to a potential transfer
Manchester City continues in conversations to again sign James Trafford from Burnley, with Ederson's probably looking the Etihad after conversations about a transfer to Galatasaray.
The former Premier League champions have already been active in the summer transfer window, which results in five new signing sessions. But a new keeper of the first choice could be on the cards in the midst of interest in Edererson from Galatasaray, who already has conversations with the 31-year-old conversations.
Ederson was strongly connected to a shock movement to the Saudi Pro League last summer to finally sit down.
But there seems to be a movement on the cards prior to the 2025-26 campaign, whereby reports from Turkey claim that the Brazil international has reached an agreement on personal conditions with Galatasaray.
The Turkish giants are ready to open conversations with City about transfer costs to conclude a deal that would end EDENSON's eight -year stay in Manchester.
Losing Ederson's services would be a big blow to Pep Guardiola and City, who want to bounce back in the new season after leaving their title to Liverpool previous term.
However, it is crucial that they have already opened the negotiations with Burnley about a deal in which Trafford, 22, would permanently return to Etihad two years after leaving the club.
Sky Sports has confirmed that City is trying to negotiate the return costs of £ 40 million that was agreed between the two clubs in the summer of 2023 when Trafford moved to Turf Moor.
Trafford then settled as one of the best young goalkeepers in England since he went to Burnley and has attracted a transfer of Newcastle after an excellent 2024-25 campaign in the championship.
The Magpies had been favorites for Land Trafford, despite seeing a £ 27 million bid for the keeper last month. City now seems to be in pole position to land their former graduate Academy, who left the club without making a single senior performance.
It is intriguing that Stefan Ortega, the current No. 2 of the city, can be an option for Burnley if they lose Trafford this summer. The Clarets are preparing for life back in the Premier League after the second term in the previous term championship.
