Former UFC star Nate Diaz had one thing to say when Dustin Poirier fought for BMF champion Max Holloway one last time.
Diaz and Poirier were once meant to fight, but an injury plans for a 2018 showdown. Now that matchup stays in the imagination after 'The Diamond' has hung his gloves on the UFC 318-Pay-per-View on Saturday.
In the main event, Holloway Poirier defeated a decision in a memorable five-round war that served as an appropriate farewell to the deductible resident of Louisiana in his home.
Following the headliner in New Orleans, Poirier wishes well and praise from many fans, hunters and analysts in the MMA community.
Diaz, however, still had a printing company to bring forward.
Nate Diaz sent a BMF reminder during Max Holloway vs. Dustin Poirier
Poirier and Holloway exchanged knockdowns in the third episode of their series, which 13 years after 'The Diamond' was submitted 'Blessed' with a Triangle arm bar in the Hawaiianianianianianianianian.
After it was stripped in their Rematch 2019 for 25 minutes, the couple made something similar in a fight on the BMF title deployment on UFC 318.

Jon Anik does not want to see Max Holloway defend the BMF title again
The BMF title continues to divide the opinion about the legitimacy and place in PPV head events, but it is safe to say that the matchups under the banner have never disappointed.
Nevertheless, Lead UFC commentator Jon Anik hopes to see the holder to continue to larger and better things after UFC 318.
“I don't really have a huge appetite to see him defending the BMF title again, if he successfully defending it here against Dustin Poirier,” Anik told Shark's chances during Fight Week.
“I think he should chase the undisputed lightweight title. Of course we will see what happens to Ilia Topuria. But if you would match Max Holloway again with Ilia in '55, or match him together with someone like Arman Tsarukyan, or to do a rematch with Charles Oliveira …
“There are many major fights for Holloway on 155 pounds, win or loss this fight,” Anik continued. “I don't know, man. Holloway vs. Oliveira 2? I mean, God, I think that's the fight.”
