Jon Jones has issued a statement that responds to Dana White's comments on UFC 318.
In June 'Bones' annoyed his boss by withdrawing from MMA after he had previously agreed to fight Tom Aspinall.
The 38-year-old quickly completed a pension U-turn after it was revealed that a UFC card will take place in the White House in July 2026.

On Sunday morning Jon Jones shared a long explanation that responded to his snub from the White House.
The greatest hunter in MMA's history was 'disappointed' by the comments of White, but still seemed hopeful that he would fight on the one -off map.
“I heard the comments made at the press conference last night,” Jones wrote on X.
“While I was a bit disappointed, I am still in the UFC drug test bath, stay sharp and keep training like a professional. I will be ready for whatever comes.
“In a recent interview I shared that the chance to fight in the White House gave me a little deeper to fight for, a 'why' that goes beyond salary or belts. Fighting for my country gives me a greater goal!
“The silver lining in all this is knowing that the fans see my heart. They see that I am ready and willing to hire everyone, to represent my country on a historic stage.
“For me it has never been the opponent. I hunted Legacy, something timeless, something bigger than the moment.
“So for now I will continue to grind, stay patient and remain faithful. I am ready to fight on July 4.

Dana White explains his problem with Jon Jones
White's aversion to Jones who fights in the White House comes from a lack of trust.
The MMA Mogul recently mentioned Jones vs Aspinall as his Dream Main Event for the 2026 card.
After UFC 318 he seemed uncomfortable with the idea of giving such an important event in the hands of someone recently.
“It's not even about winning the belt,” White said during his press conference after the fight.
“You know how I felt about him. You know that I can't run the risk of placing him in a large place in a large place and let something go wrong – especially the map of the White House.”
