Alexander Isak's agent has spoken about the future of the Newcastle sensation in the midst of interest from Liverpool and has now confirmed that a decision about the future of the striker is “close”
Alexander Isak's agent has finally tackled the transfer rumors that supplement the Newcastle with a move to Liverpool. Isak, 25, is central to intense speculation last week.
Liverpool reportedly investigated Newcastle about a potential British record -breaking deal. The Reds would be willing to pay £ 120 million on the Swedish striker.
But Newcastle has determined their position that Isak is not for sale, so Liverpool is moving their focus to Hugo Ekitike by Eintracht Frankfurt in the form of an £ 70 million bid.
Now the representative of Isak Gonzalo Gaitan is open about the situation for Saudi Arabic newspaper Arriyadiyah, where Isak was also linked to Saudi Pro League sides.
Gaitan said: “We are indeed studying and analyzing all the options, and we are perhaps almost the completion of the next step for the player. Without revealing details about whether Isak will transfer or stay with Newcastle.”
Meanwhile, Magpies chief coach Eddie Howe revealed that Isak was sent back on Saturday from the Newcastle defeat for the season against Celtic because of the current transfer interviews.
Howe, who spoke with the media after the game, confirmed the reasoning behind his decision. He also expressed his conviction that, despite the rumors, he did not see Isak abandoned this summer.
Howe said, “It was my decision [to leave out Isak]. I decided to send him home because of all the speculation around him.
“The last thing he wanted was to be in the stands. That was not fair for him. But I am convinced that he will be a player in Newcastle United, the end of this window.”
Howe continued: “It is difficult for me to give 100 percent clarity to every player. Alex is happy at Newcastle, he loves the players, the staff, the team. I am convinced that he will be here at the start of the season.”
Isak is connected to people like Liverpool and Arsenal after his stunning displays in the past few seasons on Tyneside.
His goals core form in England has been improved year after year since he became in 2022 in 2022, with the Sweden International Netting 27 goals in 42 performances in all competitions last season.
