Ruben Amorim's handling of a Manchester United star blew any chances that the Red Devils had to sign Viktor Gyokeres, according to reports.
Gyokeres, 27, is linked to a relocation of Sporting Lisbon for a large part of the transfer window with Arsenal currently in pole position for his signature.
According to the Portuguese Outlet record, Gyokees was angry with the way Amorim brought away his Swedish countryman Victor Lindelof.
The two players share the same agent in the Turkish businessman Hasan Cetinkaya, where Lindelof reportedly maintained the wish to stay with Old Trafford if he had received a new deal from the club.
Cetinkaya was also said to be angry by Amorim's treatment from the back behind, since he persuaded Gyokeres to work under the current United boss at Sporting.
