Paddy Pimblett reveals he almost suffered terrifying kidney failure after shocking weight cut

Paddy Pimblett has always struggled with brutal weight reductions and since he becomes a member of the UFC, his weight fluctuations have been documented even more.

Since he came to the UFC in 2021, Paddy Pimblett has become one of the greatest stars of the sport and she won fans from all over the world who has already built up a huge fan base in the UK.

And during that time a big talk point about his career was his weight. When 'The Baddy' is not in Vechtkamp, he is known that he is massively in the balloon, sometimes walking around in the north of 200 pounds.

Fortunately, it has not caused any problems so far during its UFC official period and the scouser is currently on an incredibly impressive run, beating at the door of title conflicts and scored a victory over Michael Chandler previous time -out on UFC 314.

Pimblett suffered almost kidney failure after shocking weight reduction

The 30-year-old is an exemplary professional and despite his love for junk food outside Vechtkamp, he always makes weight and appearance in an enormous form when he does this.

However, he was previously warned about the possible issues of blowing up outside the camp by a former hunter who was confronted with the same problems.

Prior to his fight against Chandler, Pimblett lost 14 pounds in 14 hours before he went on a crazy junk food binge, only one day from the biggest fight of his career to date.

Not only that, but during his six -week fighting camp for UFC 314, 'The Baddy' cuts more than 31 pounds, which shows that he is running considerably heavier than he should probably be.

And although he is currently not experiencing any problems with his weight reductions, there was a time in his career when his weight saving was so cruel that he almost suffered a frightening kidney failure.

For a large part of his career in Cage Warriors, Pimblett fought at 145 pounds, and after winning the title in 2016 against Julian Erosa, he booked his first title defense only a few months later.

“Lad, that (cut to 145 pounds) was disgusting. The erosa was bad and then I fought NAD Narimani to defend my belt and eventually I finally lost that fight,” Pimblett began to explain to his podcast.

“When I would reduce weight and I was on weight, I started getting a Dexa scan at the university in Liverpool and a few days after a doctor looked at it and said:” If I had seen this before the fight, I would not have let you fight. “I was away from kidney failure like a 1 pound.

“There was something wrong with my liver and they said I didn't have testosterone in my body, he said:” If I had looked that I would have said you were not fighting. “

“I am the example of how I should not reduce the weight,” Pimblett continued.

What is the next step for Paddy Pimblett?

Pimblett is now getting closer to fighting for a UFC title and may want to take his extraordinary condition more seriously.

After Ilia Topuria recently won the lightweight title on UFC 317, Pimblett stepped into the cage for a spontaneous face, and called for a title fight.

Although, if the 30-year-old does not fight for the next title, his next fight was suggested by Sean O'Malley, who thinks that a collision against Max Holloway can be logical.
