OFFICIAL: MU’s goalkeeper Harrison joins Shrewsbury Town of League Two on loan

Goalkeeper Elyh Harrison has joined the Shrewsbury Town of League Two for the 2025/26 season.

The 19-year-old Shot stopper will enjoy his second loan movement, after he had had an impressive period of six months with Chester in the National League North in 2024/25.

After 18 performances with the seals, Harrison returned to United in January to represent the club under the age of 21 and for the first time in February he was part of the Senior Matchday team as an unused replacement.

Elyh came to Stevenage in 2022 and developed well in our team under the age of 18, with quality and courage with the ball at his feet, as well as fine shot stop capacities.

His displays in the 2023/24 season were particularly impressive because he helped the U18s to an unprecedented trio of trophies, who earned the Denzil Haroun Reserve team Player of the Year Award.

Harrison, an international under-19-international under the age of 19, plays in Shrewsbury under Michael Appleton, a graduated Academy who won the same Player of the Year prize in 1996. He made two first team performances in his time at Old Trafford, before permanent spells with Preston North End and West Bromwich Albion.
