United Boss Rubén Sellés has strengthened its attacking options with the addition of an exciting and much bound talent. Louie Barry is the latest arrival in Bramall Lane and completes a seasonal loan agreement with the Blades of Premier League side Aston Villa.
The winger is a familiar face of Sellés and is reunited with the boss of Blades after a Stint in Hull City during the second half of last season's championship campaign.
Barry, who mentions Barcelona at his CV and held international awards at the youth level, scored 16 goals on loan in League One Stockport County in the first half of last season, an enchanting that many admirers from the pyramid attracted.
Upon his arrival in S2, Barry, 22, noted: “The first time I had conversations about it, I just couldn't wait to get here. The season was three weeks away and I know we have a few friendly competitions earlier, but I just buzzes to get started.
“I have been to Villa, play games, training and work hard for whatever comes. As I say, when a club like this comes calling, you can't reject it and I can't wait to get in.
“I love his (Rubén Sellés) playing style, it is exactly what I stand for as a player. I just want to go to the goal as quickly as possible. I have a really good relationship with the Gaffer and the staff, so I can't wait to go into training now.”
Born in Sutton Coldfield, Barry came to West Bromwich Albion at the age of six and went on to the U21 team in 2018.
But in July 2019, after he was rather close to the signing for Paris St. Germain, Barry wrote a three-year-old deal with the Spanish giant Barcelona, but unfortunately his time in Catalonia was seriously disturbed by the COVID-19 Pandemie and despite an impression on U19 level, he left Camp Nou without making a senior appearance.
Upon returning to England, the boys' club Aston Villa paid for his services that paid a first fee of £ 880,000 for his services and in his only senior performance in Villa Park, the attacker Liverpool yielded in the FA Cup.
Loans in Ipswich Town, Swindon Town, Milton Keynes Dons and Salford City saw Barry promote his development in the EFL, before he came up with prominence during two temporary stints in Stockport County in League Two and then in League One in 44 Competitions in the Algemagtijds.
