Arteta will break Arsenal’s golden transfer rule again by signing Gyokeres

Arsenal has so far been one of the busiest clubs in the transfer window, and it seems that the side of Mikel Arteta has done part of their company, while one of their greatest self -imposed rules denies

Arsenal will violate their own golden transfer rule by completing a deal for Viktor Gyokees. For many months, the Gunners chased the Swedish attacker, who was stubbornly held by Sporting CP.

The move from Gyoke to the Emirates Stadium is considered imminent, not long after he went on strike to force a return to English football. At the age of 27, however, his arrival would be an expensive contradiction for his own transfer rule of the Gunners.

Usually the Noord -Londers avoid to sign players who are older than 25 years, although the arrivals of Kepa Arrizabalaga and Christian Norgaard also contradict philosophy earlier this summer. But after having ended in the Premier League for three seasons in a row, they apparently believe that an experienced and deadly Finisher as Gyokeres can drive them across the line.

In the course of 102 performances, the ex-Coventry City Forward helped itself up to 97 goals and 28 assists. It is an extraordinary count of target contributions that suggest that he will be a success in the Premier League.

Erling Haaland set up similar figures at Borussia Dortmund before Manchester City signed him in the summer of 2022. The Gunners will hope that Gyokeres can have a similar effect.

Arsenal has agreed a fee of £ 55 million plus another £ 8.6 million in add-ons, the latter of which is completed. The athletics recently claimed that both parties are close to a total agreement and now close to completing the smaller details.

The Gunners have already signed Martin Zubimendi, Arrizabalaga, Norgaard and Noni Madueke, while a Movement for Valencia defender Crithian Mosquera is so close to completion, it is expected that he will participate at Arsenal's pre-season of Asia this week. The recent comments from Arteta suggest that this trek of players, of different ages, is a response to their recent frustrations.

He has made it clear that he will tear the rulebook of the Gunners if it means that the success secures. Arteta recently revealed that he has lost the so-called 'Tier system' that he has referred to in the past.

Arteta described players who 'have the capacity to begin' as 'Tier One' players, with team players the titles of 'Tier Two' and 'Tier Three' assigned. The athletics claimed that Zubimendi and Madueke both were included in the 'Tier One' bracket.

However, the former Manchester City Assistant Manager recently made it clear that he will no longer classify players in this way. He said: “The Tier One, Two, Three System I don't believe in that way now.

“The way in which the game evolves, the requirements we set with 70, 75 games per season. At the end we want to build a team, as other clubs already have, where you look at the team and you can't really identify who will play tomorrow.

“If we come to that point, and that competitiveness has the right level of cooperation between the players, that is what we want.”
