Viktor Gyokees has looted goals at Sporting Lisbon and his former mentor -and ex -Sarsenale player -Other Limpar is convinced that he will continue his exploits in North Londs in North London
Viktor Gyokeres is supported to score 25 goals in his debut campaign with Arsenal. Gyokees is now about to join the Gunners after a long and increasingly bitter exit from Sporting Lisbon.
Arsenal and Sporting were in principle verbally agreed in principle a first £ 55 million plus £ 8.6 million in add-ons and bonuses for Gyokees a few weeks ago. But the negotiations continued with the exact structure of the deal and dragged it out of rumors that Manchester United could hit the move.
Those negotiations have now finally reached a conclusion, with Gyokees who sign a five -year contract with Arsenal. He scored 54 goals in 52 games for Sporting last season and 97 in 102 games completely with the club and expectations with High in Noord -Londen.
Anders Limpar spent four years in Arsenal in the early nineties and has a unique insight into the former Coventry striker, which accompanied him when he was a young person on the Swedish side Brommapojkarna. Limpar there is no doubt that Gyokees will hit the ground in the side of Mikel Arteta.
“I know that almost all Arsenal players are top professionals,” he told Fotbrolldirekt.se. “I went to the training field, spoken with Arteta. He is the Lord 100 percent professional. And that is what you get from Viktor.
“He is such a prospect when it comes to taking care of himself, not scandals, he is a great player. He is a no. 9 and can sniff a goal. He becomes the perfect icing on the cake in Arsenal.
And I don't have to look down [Kai] Havertz, or [Gabriel] Jesus. But at the moment bringing in Viktor, in its best age and shape. It is a goals core and with all the delivery of the wings and of [Martin] Odegaard, he will score 25 goals. “
Limpar is calling Arsenal to sign Gyokees for a while because he was convinced that he is the missing piece of the puzzle. “I know Gyokeres very well personally, I was a bit of a mentor for him when he played for Brommapojkarna, he and Ludwig Augustinsson. So I spoke a lot about professional life with him,” said the Swede in November.
“He is a fantastic hard -working attacker who scores many goals. When we at Arsenal [were to] Buy gyokeres, then he will definitely call me. But then to see Gyokeres in Arsenal, that would be crazy. He runs his work percentage like crazy. If it doesn't work for Viktor, he works his way into the game with uncomfortable runs.
“When other top attackers are not doing well, they don't work so hard for the team, they save their energy, Viktor never saves his energy. When things are a bit slow, he works his way in a game with runs, that's why it went so well.”
