Atletico Madrid has completed their sixth signing of the summer transfer window, in which David Hancko participated in Feyenoord.
In the last 24 hours, Atleti has concluded a Quickfire deal deal for Rechtsback Marc Pubill, and they quickly looked again to seal an agreement for Hancko, which they tried to sign with several times last summer.
Hancko, who had been near Saudi Pro League-Kant Al-Nassr earlier in the summer, officially became a member of Atleti, where the club confirms that an agreement has been sealed with Feyenoord.
“Atletico Madrid and Feyenoord have reached an agreement for the transfer of Dávid Hancko to our club, pending the relevant medical investigation and signing his new contract.”
According to Fabrizio Romano, Atleti pays € 30 million plus add-ons for Hancko, which lasts their summer spending more than € 150 million. And it also means that their attempt to sign Renato Veiga from Chelsea has been put on hold.
Romano has confirmed that conversations between Atleti and Chelsea are on hold, with Los Colchoneros not convinced by the price tag of € 40 million by the recent World Cup winners of the club World Cup. In the coming days, a decision will probably be made with regard to the negotiations for the Portugal International, with whom an agreement on personal conditions has already been sealed.
Atleti will not have too much left in their transfer kitty now that Hancko has been signed, and even if that is, signing a new central defender is no longer a priority. On the contrary, it is now expected that a new winger will be the focus of the club's sports department, with breathola lookman and Antony among those who have been linked in recent weeks.
It is not excluded that Athleti is trying to close a deal with Chelsea, but the arrival of Veiga is probably dependent on a center -like departure. Jose Maria Gimenez has been associated with an exit in recent months, although this is considered a reality, is not considered nearby.
