Wolves have completed the signing of the Colombian Jhon Arias of Brazilian side luminense for a deal of four years, with the option of 12 months.
The 27-year-old attacker moves to the old gold after having impressed the club World Cup this summer and will reunite with Andre, with whom he played at Fluminense, and international teammate Yerson Mosquera.
Arias able to play behind a central striker on the attacking line, arrives with both personal awards and team titles to his name of playing in Colombia and Brazil and has 31 international caps so far.
Arias's professional career started with Patriotas in his home country in 2018 and he played more than 100 times in Colombia and also got experience on loan at Llaneros, before permanent movements to America de Cali and Santa Fe as younger.
During his time at America de Cali he claimed a first title – the Colombian championship in 2020 – while his move to Rio de Janeiro and Fluminense arrived a year later.
Arias has since stayed in the club and has received a reputation for his creativity during his 229 games in red and green, with 2022 providing its breakthrough season, with 16 goals, 17 assists and a first of two Guanabara Cup titles.
A year later, in addition to Andre in midfield, Arias won the top title of South America of the Copa Libertadores – the equivalent of the continent of the continent – with both mentioned in the team of the tournament.
Arias, who in the past has worn the bracelet of the captain and is a fixed value on set pieces, has written down another 13 assists during the first half of the 2025 campaign, before Fluminense focused their attention on the club World Cup this summer.
The winger shone on the world stage in the United States, staring in the Run from the Brazilian side to the semi -final by becoming the named player of the match against Borussia Dortmund, Ulsan HD and Inter Milan and earning a place in the team of the competition tournament.
Arias, who leaves Fluminense with 102 target contributions, is now moving to Europe for the first time, and becomes Vitor Pereira by the second signing of the summer and strengthens the attacking options of the head coach.
