Viktor Gyokees enjoyed a holiday in Spain while his transfer to Arsenal -inches closer, but according to the Swede dentist, the move is already completed
The Viktor Gyokeres dentist has sensationally claimed that his transfer to Arsenal has already been completed after he has been visited by the Swedish striker. The 27-year-old is a top objective for the side of Mikel Arteta for a large part of the summer, but a breakthrough in negotiations was made earlier this week with Sporting CP.
Although a deal worth £ 54.8 million (€ 63.5 million) plus £ 8.6 million (€ 10 million) had been agreed between the two parties, it was the structure of the add-ons that led to a delay, despite personal conditions that had already been agreed.
While the Sweden International is waiting for the last steps of the move, he has since enjoyed a holiday in Spain, where he traveled to Mallorca to visit Globaldent Balear, a dental clinic.
Position on a photo with two dentists, one of them was Dr. Maria Bel Riera, it was then posted on the Instagram page of the clinic that seemed to confirm the move from the striker to Arsenal via the caption.
It said: “Viktor Gyokeres, congratulations on your new professional stage; it was a pleasure to be part of your trip, thanks for your trust.”
With the approaching official confirmation of the transfer of Gyokeres, he cannot wear his favorite NR .9 shirt in North Londs, since the currently occupied by Gabriel Jesus.
The Swede has worn the number of the traditional striker since drawing for the Portuguese champions in 2023 and previously wore the No.17 shirt in his two seasons in Coventry City. However, even that number is not available because it is kept by Oleksandr Zinchenko, who is said to leave the Emirates this summer.
However, the No.10 shirt remains vacant with his last owner who is Emile Smith Rowe, who left his boy's club last summer to become a member of the fellow Premier League side Fulham. Although Gyokees has never worn the iconic shirt number in professional football, only at youth level, it is worn by people like Paul Merson, Dennis Bergkamp, Robin van Persie and Mesut Ietw.
If he opts for a different number, then the No. 14 is for the taking and was last supported by Eddie Nketiah, who also left the club last summer to become a member of London Rivals Crystal Palace. Made in a prestigious song by Thierry Henry, it was also attracted by Martin Keown, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Alan Smith.
Gyokeres scores 97 goals in 102 games for Sporting and will arrive in England with high expectations, but there is some doubt about whether he can recreate his goals core record in the Premier League.
Three-time Premier League winner Jose Mourinho was asked how the Swede will do to Arsenal, because he admitted that he has no trouble having his quality, but admitted that he is confronted with a hard opposition than he did in Portugal.
Speaking with Portugal's Channel 11, the Fenerbahce -Baas said: “He is a great player. I have no doubt about it. But Sporting had a way to play a lot around him, very adapted. I don't know what Hugo Viana and Ruben [Amorim] initially thought; He is a player with a great potential. But in England he plays against stronger teams, better players. “
