Manchester United is desperate to sell Antony this summer, but their efforts to do this are made by real betis, who remain favorites to bring the Brazilian international to Andalusia.
There is a despair at Betis to sign Antony again, who registered nine goals and five assists during his loan saying in the second half of last season. However, the asking price of Man United is currently not feasible for Los Verdiblancos, despite the big money sales from Johnny Cardoso to Atletico Madrid.
Nevertheless, Ben Jacobs (via the United Stand) revealed that Antony continues to give priority to a switch to betis, which still has to come to a conclusion about the best way to approach a deal to re-sign the United-Vleugel player.
“It seems that Antony maintains Betis. Betis tries to understand the situation, whether it is a loan or full sale. If a deal does not happen within the next 2 weeks, the feeling must accept Antony that Betis might not be his next destination.”
It is clear that Betis wants to avoid Antony this summer, especially for the asking price that Man United has currently set up. There is talk of a second loan that is offered, with this, including an option to buy that the Andalusians can activate in 2026, although there is no suggestion that the Premier League side would be willing to accept.
Betis now has the favor of Antony, but if the situation continues to rumble, it would be no surprise to see him look somewhere else, given his desire to leave Man United. Interestingly, Athleti has emerged as candidates to sign him and given their expenses this summer, it would not be a surprise if they made a movement – leaving Los Verdiblancos behind.
