Newcastle United explores a Swoop for RB Leipzig's 22-year-old Benjamin Sesko as a possible replacement for Alexander Isak.
Isak rocked Newcastle on Thursday by telling them that he wants to leave the club – with Liverpool ready to jump for the £ 120 million rated striker.
The club explores a movement for 22-year-old Slovenian, but the finances of such a deal are considered difficult for the North East Club.
Sesko was previously linked in the window to Arsenal, Man Utd and Al Hilal.
The Gunners have since continued with a deal for the Swedish striker Viktor Gyokeres, while Man Utd Matheus Cunha and Bryan Mbeumo has signed, so that Newcastle left a clear run at Sesko.
The 6ft 5 in striker signed a new contract last summer in which he saw a release clause of £ 55 million.
According to Transfer Guru Fabrizio Romano, however, Sesko has a “men's agreement” that certain clubs could see its compensation reduced to £ 60-70 million with add-ons.
The Hitman yielded 21 goals last season in 45 games in all competitions for RB Leipzig.
The Magpies also work on an £ 30 million offer for Yoane Wissa van Brentford.
De Dr. Congo International could have been the latest Brentford star after Mbeumo's move to Man Utd.
Isak, 25, encouraged Newcastle to look at other options when the hotshot with £ 150 million expressed its wish to leave the club.
The magpies, who had hoped to bind the Swede to a new mega money contract, had claimed his absence of the pre-season journey from Newcastle to Singapore, was due to a “small thigh injury”.
But Isak, who learned Sunsport, complained about the thighs and groin problems that chased him last season last week, is cautious to sign an extension of £ 300,000 a week.
Instead, he informed the club that he wants to go and that things can accelerate now, even though the Saudi owners of Newcastle still support and refuse the wishes of Boss Eddie Howe.
Howe stated that Isak would be 'absolutely' on the plane after the 4-0 defeat in Celtic on Saturday – even though he sent Isak home from Glasgow because he was influenced by transfer speculation.
Newcastle hit Liverpool's approach last week and stays on it that they will not sell last season's 27-goal top scorer.
The Reds then hijacked the Newcastle movement for Hugo Ekitike, but Arne Slot still hopes to introduce Isak while Saudi side Al-Hilal is also enthusiastic.
Sun Sport reported how the camp of Isak was initially left by Newcastle 12 months ago.
That was due to the promise of a wage increase of his current £ 130,000 a week made contract by the former co-owners Amanda Staveley and Mehrdad Ghodoussi who would not happen.
One of the first decisions of the now former sports director Paul Mitchell was to postpone negotiations because of his contract for four years and a feeling that he was already beautifully paid.
Despite the departure of Mitchell and the willingness of Newcastle to pay their £ 150,000 a week to make him the best -paid player in their history, they are now confronted with a huge fight to hold on to their appreciated property.
In the meantime, Alan Shearer hit his former club and claimed that it was 'ridiculous' that they not only told the 'truth' about Isak who wanted to leave.
Toon's top scorer said to Betfair: “It is ridiculous what Newcastle has plotted to say that he was not traveling because of a slight thigh injury. If they thought people would not endure that – it would be disappointing.
“They just had to tell the truth immediately. I understand that it is a very difficult situation for them, but it is what it is.
“Isak has been brilliant for Newcastle, helped us to realize our dream to win a trophy and if there is no way that he can be persuaded to stay in Newcastle, then they must get the best possible deal and if someone is willing to pay what they want, you have to thank and build for the future.”
Shearer added: “There is no person bigger than the football club. Newcastle will lose a world -class player when he goes. Players abandoned football clubs and be replaced. If that is the case here, it is disappointing, but you have to thank and go.”
Away from the senior team, Newcastle has made the South Korean park Seung-Sooo the newest wonder kid to join their ranks.
The 18-year-old winger, the youngest professional goal scorer in South Korean football history, joined the K League 2-side Suwon Bluewings.
He is the newest talented teenager who joins Tyneside with the ranks after the recent catches of the Spanish Whizzkid Antonio Cordero, Georgian attacker Vakhtang Salia and Irish Starlet Kyle Fitzgerald.
