Lyon completed the signing of Ruben Kluivert (24) from the Portuguese side Casa Pia.
The Dutch Centerback has signed a five-year contract until June 2030. According to the Ligue 1-side, Lyon and Casa Pia reached an agreement on a transfer costs of € 3.78 million with another 650k in performance-related bonuses, as well as a 15% sales clause. The center-back, the son of the Dutch legend Patrick Kluist and brother of Justin, becomes the third member of the Kluisert family in French football. Patrick played for Lille and Justin learned his profession at OGC Nice.
This deal made the second summer signature of Kluivert Ol, after the arrival of Afonso Moreira, a young wing player of Sporting CP. The 24-year-old is the fourth Dutch player who signed for Lyon after Michel Valke, Kenny Tete and Memphis Depay, who was part of Kluivert's announcement. Ruben Kluivert was called up this Saturday for Lyon's pre -season match against Hamburg.
