Loris Karius has remembered everything in his relationship with his famous woman, including her thoughts about the couple who lives in different countries.
The former goalkeeper of Liverpool, 32, started dating from presenter Diletta Leotta, 33, who became known for her work with Sport Omroep Dazn, in 2022.
Only a year later the lovebirds welcomed their daughter, baby Aria, before they made the decision during a lush ceremony in 2024.
However, it has not all been clear to Karius and Leotta, with the newlyweds who live in completely different cities while putting his trade in Schalke, located in the German district of Gelsenkirchen, while his wife fulfills her presentations in Milan.
And after Karius had signed a contract extension and had held him at Schalke earlier this summer, their long-distance marriage will not end quickly.
In a new interview this week, the German keeper unveiled Leotta's honest thoughts about the life of life away from him, and the plans of the Superstar pair for the future.
He said Sport Bild: 'Diletta even advised me to expand at Schalke. She loves the club and she loves everything she has seen here so far.
'Diletta also thinks that Royal Blue is the perfect choice for my sporting success. She is completely behind this decision!
'But of course it is difficult for me if I can't see my little daughter Aria for days. But Facetime is for that, and we see each other regularly – as often as possible. '
Karius also opened the possibility that he and his Italian wife welcomed a second child in the near future.
“We would like to have a second child,” he added.
“We don't know when. Nothing concrete has been planned so far.
'Love is not going that far! In Italy it is also more often for everyone to keep their last name after the wedding. '
Karius says that Leotta is actually better known than he is, and when they are in the streets of Milan, she is sometimes noticed more than he is.
“She is already recognized a lot,” he joked, “sometimes more!”
The new interview comes after Leotta revealed last month that Karius was so overwhelmed to meet her family for the first time for the first time he locked himself up in his room and dived on the bed to process his emotions.
Sicily was introduced to her family in Catania, came as a culture shock for the football player, who had difficulty getting to go to terms with how noisy the area was.
“It was nice to take Loris to my house in Catania for the first time,” Leotta told the podcast of Storie Oltre Le Stories via Gazzetta dello Sport.
'At a certain point during lunch – he doesn't speak Italian by the way – he heard all this sound.
“He was not used to this disaster, he said to me,” Please stop, I need a break! “
“He went upstairs to his room, locked himself up and threw himself on the bed destroyed through life.
After a difficult period in Liverpool who saw him make a few crucial mistakes against Real Madrid in a Champions League final, Karius is playing for Besiktas, Union Berlin, Newcastle and now Schalke in the second level of German football.
They avoided the decrease last season and finished in 14th place.
