Ben Askren has bare everything from fans when he showed how seriously followed his physical changes after a life -saving operation.
The legendary former Bellator and one FC champion, which fought in the UFC three times, needed a double lung transplant after a Staph infection led earlier this year to a serious attack of pneumonia. He is now at home from the hospital, but still far from full health, as is apparent from his latest post on social media.
However, None of that holds Askren, because he says he will be much further in a month. He also noted that he still can't walk without the help of a walker, but likes to work on it and gets his strength back.
Ben Askren shows drastic body transformation in new video
Ben Askren has shared regular updates of his progress since he has received his double lung transplant and starts working on his recovery. He is already on social media and posts about cryptocurrency, one of his favorite non-athletic interests, and places videos every few days.
However, his newest was perhaps his most shocking so far when he showed off the true state of his body after undergoing a life -saving operation. He went shirtless for the first time in his update videos, he looked remarkably calm and showed off his operating tubes and connections.
Askren noticed that he is unable to walk and let himself be a weight of 5 pounds that he admitted to was an important struggle. He also shared a video of days before he fell ill, where he claimed that he could easily curl 45 pounds and was in excellent condition.
In his first video in the hospital, Askren claimed to weigh 147 pounds, which is a dramatic decrease in even its UFC peak days of competing on the welterweight limit of 171LB. The last time he fought – against Jake Paul in a boxing match in 2021 – he tilted the scales on 191LB.

However, the ultimate message from Askren's video was positive. He insisted that within a month he will be in a much improved position and begged viewers who are better in shape than he does to do the same with their lives.

“I am where I am now, but I will be somewhere else in a month,” said Askren. “I am going to work my A – and I'm going to get better. And so, why can't you do? What are you still waiting for? There is hardly anyone in such a low physical condition as I do.
“I can't walk without using a walker or making a 5LB curl, it is pathetic, I understand that. But as a result of starting I will end up somewhere else. So those among you who have not started? Go moving, get started. I only have one way to go, you too.
