Flamengo has officially announced the signing of Brazilian right back Emerson Royal from AC Milan. The 26-year-old defender has signed a contract with the Rubbro-Neger who runs until December 2028 and will wear the number 22 sweater.

Flamengo has completed its second signature in this middle year transfer window. Emerson Royal, a 26-year-old right back that was previously with Milan in Italy, signed a contract with the club until December 2028 and will further improve the Flamengo team in the Brazilian championship, Copa do Brasil and Libertadores. The new signing of the Flamengo will wear the number 22 sweater.
Born in São Paulo, Emerson came through the ranks of the youth academy of Ponte Preta and attracted the attention of European clubs during his time at Atlético-MG. He started his career on the old continent that played for Real Betis, played 79 games, scored five goals and offered 10 assists.
After a stint in Barcelona, the full-back then moved to Tottenham, where he made 101 performances, scored four goals and gave two assists. Last season he played 26 games for Milan, from 22 of them.
