Dricus Du Plessis was quick to mock Shara Magomedov, despite his impressive UFC Abu Dhabi victory.
The middleweight champion is known for its incredibly hard brand of talking, which is at best not fixed holds. And he did not hold himself in his short attack on Magomedov, who is not even a ranked competition for the belt of the South African.
The message adds insult to an injury to Magomedov, who suffered a broken nose with Marc-Andre Barriault during his 'fight of the night'.

Dricus Du Plessis is head of the middleweight division and seems to have his eyes on all challengers – even those who are not ranked. There was a short period in which Shara Magomedov landed in the top 15, but his defeat against the Welterweight Michael 'Venom' page in February cost him that place.
However, that does not mean that he was saved from a vintage du plessis bullying insult, where the champion mocked him for his missing eye. The Russian has been fighting with only one eye since a sparring accident, but has still succeeded in gathering a solid battle career, including a large UFC run.
Du plessis wrote on x: “Well done cyclops/gnome.” The second part of his insult was probably insulting Magomedov for his curly red hair, which looks more like an Irish than one from the hills of Dagestan.

Despite the insults, Magomedov got the last smile, because both he and Barriault received $ 50,000 for their share in the fight of the night. They were both wounded in a brutal way, the last with an elbow to the top of the head that led to a knots cut, and earned their extra wages in the heat of Abu Dhabi.

In the first round, the Russian heaviest barriault damaged with the cut, which ended with both men covered with blood. He almost got the finish in the second, but was finally caught by a check judge hook that hit his nose.
In the end, the more completed striking and movement of Magomedov was sufficient to make the decision. All three judges scored the Bout 29-28 and gave him the first and thirds and scored the second for Barriault.
