'Big' John McCarthy has shared thoughts about the most controversial moment of UFC Abu Dhabi.
The legendary referee looked from home while Mohammad Yahya was dropped eight times on his way to a TKO loss against Steven Nguyen on Saturday evening.
Fans called for the official in-cage, Jason Herzog, to be fired because he did not wave the mismatch.
Eventually the UFC doctor intervened after assessing Yahya's horrible eye injury at the end of the round two.

Yahya suffered a record -breaking six knockdowns in one round at UFC Abu Dhabi.
For most, that would have been enough to see his difficult to see fight with Nguyen.
John McCarthy had no problem with the decision to let the fight continue in round two.
However, he believes that Herzog should have intervened before the doctor got the chance.
“Jason was right,” said McCarthy on the podcast 'Weeging in' that he shared with ex-PuC-hunter Josh Thomson.
“He stopped the fight after the second round ended.
“It could have been stopped earlier.
“It is probably – I am honest – should have.
“Based on:” Why am I going to allow this boy to get more damage if he doesn't win this fight? “

The most important problem of McCarthy with Nguyen vs. Yahya had nothing to do with how it was referred.
The 62-year-old was furious about how the first round of their fight was scored by the jury members.
All three gave it 10-8 to Nguyen and chose to reward his efforts with a rare 10-7 round.
“I'm so, that's because they are afraid. They are now afraid of freaking their work,” said McCarthy.
'You look at, if you are that guy on the outside [and] You are not in the [United] States, and if you take a look at the people who rated that, are many of them in Europe and want to work.
“So they look and take the safe route to say:” You know what, this is a 10-8 “, when they don't give the hunter, Steven Nguyen, what he deserves for what he did in that round.”
“If you want to know what a 10-7 round is, look at the first round of that fight.”
