Serie A side confirm final steps for bold Alvaro Morata deal

The Spain captain Alvaro Morata will play in the Serie A next season for a new challenge for the veteran striker.

The 32-year-old has passed a frustrating 2025 on the back of an excellent 2024 when he led the Luis de la Fuente team to the UEFA Euro 2024 title.

On the back of that tournament success, Morata chose to leave Atletico Madrid and join AC Milan before the 2024/25 season, in a transfer he later regretted making.

After struggling to preserve a regular starting place in the San Siro, he was lent to Galatasaray halfway through the season and won the Turkish title.

Galatasaray, however, is not looking to keep him for the 2025/26 campaign, and there is no room for him back at AC Milan, while he prepares to continue.

Morata is ready for what comes when former Spain teammate Cesc Fabregas wants contact with him in Como.

Fabregas impressed in his first season as Serie A manager, and earlier reports that Marca indicated that he had reached his friend about a seasonal loan for 2025/26.

AC Milan and Como have agreed a deal to share its wages for the 2025/26 season, because Morata seems to stay at a world cup place next summer.

“The agreement with Alvaro Morata is ready. He is agreed conditions and we have reached an agreement with AC Milan. We are waiting for Galatasaray to speak with Milan, we did our work,” said Como President Mirwan Suwararo.

De la Fuente has consistently supported Morata as his captain, after a number of bad recent impressions for the national side, and a missed penalty in the final loss of their Nations League against Portugal.

The Spanbaas admitted that he is not sure whether Morata will be involved in the September camp, because the qualification of the World Cup will start, left to his number 7 with the decision.
