Arsenal goes after Crystal Palace's Ebereechi Eze and had considered using Reiss Nelson as part of the deal – but the winger is now in negotiations to become a member of another London rivals
Arsenal hoped to use Reiss Nelson in a Swap deal that could have seen them Land Crystal Palace in Ebereechi Eze – but the player is now in advanced conversations to move to Fulham.
Nelson spent on loan last season in Craven Cottage and discussions between the Gunners and their London rivals depend on a loan agreement with an option to buy, including a considerable fee or a permanent transfer. It is thought that an agreement is close, but not guaranteed, reports the athletics.
Nelson made himself a fixed value under Marco Silva and played in 13 consecutive games for Fulham before he sustained a seasonal hamstring injury in December. His contract with Arsenal binds him until 2027, but he fell very much out of grace with the Gunners who keep an eye on new recruits in the last third year.
Fulham has to sign this summer, but Willian and Carlos Vinicius have seen leaving free transfers, which has only increased their need to bring new faces, especially in attack.
Arsenal, who has now received a deal for Viktor Gyokeres over the line, are ready to increase their efforts to land Eze. The wing player has just placed himself in the history of the palace after scoring the winning goal in the FA Cup final.
However, the Eagles are confronted with a fight to keep their leading light, which has long been associated with a move. Eze has made himself a regular international in England and Arsenal believes that he can add even more quality to their attack after he has seen movements for Nico Williams and Rodrygo Cool this summer.
Eze's preference is a switch to the emirates, according to the independent, and those who are close to the player are convinced that a deal to take him to Arsenal will be completed in the coming weeks.
The Gunners hope to close a deal for £ 60 million, instead of the reported release clause of £ 68 million, but the chances of giving Palace Nelson to appease them seems to fade.
It was previously claimed that Arsenal insisted on a deal in which three episodes would be of £ 20 million. During the summer, the Noord -Londers are linked to adding a broad attacker to offer competition for Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Martinelli.
Last summer palace, Michael Olise, who was a key figure in the attack, lost to Bayern Munich. 12 months later and they are also fighting to keep captain Marc Guehi with his contract that expires and Cirkel Liverpool while they want to take advantage of the situation.
