Sesko responds to Man Utd interest as striker reveals transfer preference

Manchester United would really like to add a new striker to their team this summer with RB Leipzig -star Benjamin Sesko as a candidate for the Red Devils

The chances of Manchester United to sign Benjamin Sesko have received a huge boost with the forward links 'impressed' of the Red Devils. Ruben Amorim's side would like to add a new striker to their team this summer after a sad season previous time out.

A number of attackers have already been linked, including Viktor Gyokeres – although he has now completed a move to Premier League -rival Arsenal. Sesko has now emerged as a backup option, where the Slovenian has paid attention to RB Leipzig in recent seasons.

Newcastle is also interested, with Sesko seen as a potential replacement for Alexander Isak, which was associated with a move to Liverpool. But the Red Devils have moved to the front of the queue with the striker's own position on a movement.

According to Sky in Germany, United Chiefs have already had contact with Sesko to postpone their project. They have also introduced figures to his representatives prior to the possible launch of conversations with Leipzig.

Fortunately for United, Sesko responded well because he was impressed by what the Red Devils had to say. However, there is still some work to do on a deal, where Leipzig wants about £ 64 million for their star attacker.

In the meantime, Boss Amorim has already spoken about what he wants from his new signing sessions. He said: “They must want to come here. I think what we can do the fans is that we want players to have proven it [themselves] all.

“Sometimes you have a player with a lot of potential, you have to be aware of that, but all players coming, we have to know the player. We have to talk to the player, we have to explain the project.

“And then a very important thing they want to come here is the most important point. If we can find someone who can help the team during the market and everything that can be with them, we will do it. If not, we can't do it because it is an important time in our club.”

Sesko, who has scored 39 goals for Leipzig in the past two seasons, has already revealed what could help him make a decision – a potential playing style of the new club. After he had signed for Leipzig, he said: “The thing is, I was not really involved in this kind of conversations, but I think it was better to get here.

“It was very important for me to go to a place that plays a similar style of football. I already knew what to do and didn't have to go through a whole learning process again.”

He doubled that attitude after donating a new contract with the German side last summer. He said: “Leipzig has given me a lot and keeps giving me a lot every day. It is a great club to develop. In the future I want to play for a club that suits me, which brings the best to me. That is the most important thing for me.”
