Manchester United continues to lower their price for Jadon Sancho in an attempt to get him a move with a third spell at Borussia Dortmund Potential on the cards
Jadon Sancho could return to Borussia Dortmund this summer for just a quarter of what they sold him four years ago when Manchester United remains determined to get him out of their books.
The attacker is one of a number of players who are currently in the dark when it comes to their future. Sancho, like several of his teammates, has returned from a loan spell in the past term, but is not immediately part of the plans under Ruben Amorim.
Sancho was in Chelsea in the previous term and had a short loan tint at Dortmund, the club where he first made his name. The Daily Mail now reports that a third spell could be on the cards at the German club.
United has signed Sancho for just over £ 70 million, but he was unable to deliver that compensation. As a result, they are willing to sell and a switch to Juventus or Dortmund is spoken.
Manchester's outfit would accept between £ 15 million and £ 17 million, which represents a huge loss. However, that figure is necessary to seduce potential buyers, since neither Juventus or Dortmund have the finances to break the bank to land Sancho.
United had a deal with Chelsea to turn Sancho's loan into a permanent deal, worth a maximum of £ 25 million, at the end of last season, but the Londoners chose to pay a fine of £ 5 million to rip the agreement. The international England also starts in the last year of his contract.
He currently earns £ 275,000 a week, a figure that he should take to take a huge cut, and his decline since moving to Manchester has seen him fall out of sight with the three lions. It was in Dortmund that he was first covered by his country.
Last summer, when the German club reached the final of the Champions League, in which Sancho played a key role, there was a permanent switch, but club chef Sebastian Kehl admitted that finance were a problem. “Ultimately, the money will cost (to sign Sancho). A lot of money. Absolutely more than we have at the moment, that is clear,” he said at the time.
In addition to Sancho United, Antony and Alejandro Garnacho have in the club, but they will try to shift them in the coming weeks. Amorim has sustained that the club has their ratings and opened the door for those who were again integrated into the team if they stay.
He said: The club has a song for these players. If they don't achieve that, they will be Manchester United players, no doubt. I understand that the clubs are waiting for the last minute, but they can have a surprise. I am ready to receive the players. “
