Barcelona star Dani Olmo can leave club for free in January as things stand

Barcelona are working on ways to raise more money before the end of the year as they try to ensure they can sign Dani Olmo before January 1. If they don't, they risk losing their €55 million investment.

Olmo joined from RB Leipzig this summer on a six-year contract, but MD has revealed that if Olmo is not registered for the second half of the season. Olmo agreed with the club to initially be registered for just one season when he joined, but as the Blaugrana struggled to do so, he accepted a six-month registration under the emergency injury rule, using Andreas Christensen's salary cap to allow him to register. The condition was that Olmo would have included a clause in his contract that would allow him to leave for free if he was not registered for the second half of the season.
