Real Madrid has apparently made it as good as the public that they will not make any further signing sessions unless there are first selling. It seems that backup goalkeeper Andriy Lunin cannot leave the club.
Lunin is now two years away from an excellent run in the side in the recovery of Thibaut Courtois, in which he led Real Madrid to the Champions League final and the Liga title. But after falling for the final, and with only a year over his deal, there were considerable rumors about a potential departure from the club. Lunin eventually expanded his deal to 2030, but he stays on shortlists throughout Europe.
According to Cahter Offsom, Newcastle United has made a loan offer for Lunin and were willing to pay € 3 million for his services this season. However, Los Blancos immediately rejected the bid and Newcastle told that it is neither for sale nor is available for a loan agreement.
Eddie Howe wants to strengthen at the goalkeeper position, but Real Madrid wants Lunin as a backup, and he has so far sworn to fight for the number one place with Thibaut Courtois.
Their information is that Manchester United also keeps an eye on Lunin, which has been associated with a move to Old Trafford in recent months. Previous reports have noted that Los Blancos would consider an offer of more than € 20 million for Lunin, but it is possible that their perspective has changed.
The word last summer was that if an offer of the right money and the right team came in for Lunin, both parties would shake hands and continue.
