Moyes concerns speak volumes as Everton transfer frustrations come to light

Everton has so far drawn four players this summer, with Mark Travers, Carlos Alcaraz, Thierno Barry and Adam Aznou who come to the club, but manager David Moyes has been left frustrated

David Moyes has unveiled his frustration about the failure of Everton to get deals over the line in this summer's transfer window. The Toffees have signed four players – goalkeeper Mark Travers, midfielder Carlos Alcaraz, striker Thierno Barry and young defender Adam Aznou.

But Moyes thinks he needs two or three signing sessions before the window closes and has admitted that it is a struggle to convince players to come to Everton. “We all know that we need many new players,” said Moyes.

“Everton's such a large club, with great traditions, we have looked at what it stands for over the years, and the new stadium is an exciting new movement for us.

“But if you have another thought and you think about it again, we have been in or around the relegation positions for the past five years, so if you look at it like that, there may be reasons for it.

“The fact is that we have to rebuild that, we have to rebuild trust in people who have to come to Everton and show them that the club is going in the right direction and we now have a new future.

“We are all desperate to give the supporters something again, because we have had many disappointments. Last year we have very strong and I know that the fans are here in Chicago in Chicago and support so many events from our side.

“So let's hope we can bring it together for them and leave them a team to be proud of at the start of the season.” Everton is linked to a movement for Jack Grealish, who seems to have no future at Etihad after he was limited to only seven Premier League start last season.

Grealisk was omitted from the Manchester City team for the club World Cup this summer, where manager Pep Guardiola stated: “He had a conversation with the club and [we] decided [what was for] The best.

“Jack is an exceptional player. The only reason he didn't play last season is of course my decision. We decide that he should play. The club was honest, he was honest.

“Incredible love and respect [for him] And we decide that it is best to stay [behind] and have a place [at home] That he can feel that he can come back to be the player as he was in the year of the Treble or all his career in Aston Villa.

“Without him it would have been more difficult in the year of the Treble [2022-2023]. The fact is that he didn't play many minutes in the last two seasons. He has to come back to play and have the butterflies in his belly that he can play every three days and show the quality he has. “
